A top anti-smoking group called on the Indonesian government Thursday to give the parents of a chainsmoking 2-year-old baby a kick in the ash.

"It's clear the parents of this baby don't understand the risk smoking poses to their child," said Matthew Myers of the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids in Washington, D.C.

Shocking photos of baby Ardi Rizal puffing away on up to 40 cigarettes a day had much of the world fuming.

"This reflects a pervasive problem in many low-income countries where tobacco companies market their products to an uneducated public," Myers said.

He noted that anybody, at any age, can buy cigarettes in Indonesia, which is the only country in Southeast Asia that has not ratified the World Health Organization's treaty on tobacco.

In Indonesia, the head of the country's child protection commission blamed Ardi's two-pack-a-day habit on advertising and clueless parents.

"A law to protect children and passive smokers should be introduced immediately in this country," said Seto Mulyadi, who cited this stunning statistic - 25% of Indonesia's kids ages 3 to 15 have tried smoking.

Ardi, who lives in the province of Sumatra, has another problem - he weighs 56 pounds. He's too fat to walk far so he gets around on a plastic toy truck.

His mother, Diana, understands her son has a problem.

"He's totally addicted," his weeping mom told reporters. "If he doesn't get cigarettes, he gets angry and screams and batters his head against the wall. He tells me he feels dizzy and sick."

Evidently, it doesn't bother his father, Mohammed.

"He looks pretty healthy to me," he said. "I don't see the problem." source

The Cleveland Browns wide receiver, Dante Stallworth, plead guilty Tuesday to DUI manslaughter for the March morning he hit and killed crane operator Mario Reyes in Miami Beach. He was sentenced to spend 30 days in jail, two years house arrest and eight years probation.

As part of his plea deal, Stallworth must perform 1,000 hours of community service, which likely will involve public service announcements and speeches to youth warning of the perils of drunken driving.

Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle bristled at the notion that Stallworth, 28, got off easy, pointing to his consistent remorse and the Reyes family's desire to avoid protracted legal proceedings.

Back in April, BET CEO Debra Lee said the network was in talks to acquire the show, but that it was really coming down to a matter of the budget. Now, an inside source at BET told BV Buzz that new co-president Loretha Jones is working hard to finalize a budget that would allow them to afford the show. Adding “The Game” to their roster wouldn’t be a bad move for BET as re-runs of the sitcom actually score higher ratings than most the network’s original shows. At news that The CW had cancelled the show, many fans looked to BET to pick it up, too. Nothing has been set in stone over at BET, which hasn’t offered any official statement on the possible fate of the show just yet. source

The ghosts of segregation live on. So much for living in a post-racial society.

Racially segregated proms have been held in Montgomery County — where about two-thirds of the population is white — almost every year since its schools were integrated in 1971. Such proms are, by many accounts, longstanding traditions in towns across the rural South, though in recent years a number of communities have successfully pushed for change. When the actor Morgan Freeman offered to pay for last year’s first-of-its-kind integrated prom at Charleston High School in Mississippi, his home state, the idea was quickly embraced by students — and rejected by a group of white parents, who held a competing “private” prom. (The effort is the subject of a documentary, “Prom Night in Mississippi,” which will be shown on HBO in July.) The senior proms held by Montgomery County High School students — referred to by many students as “the black-folks prom” and “the white-folks prom” — are organized outside school through student committees with the help of parents. All students are welcome at the black prom, though generally few if any white students show up. The white prom, students say, remains governed by a largely unspoken set of rules about who may come. Black members of the student council say they have asked school administrators about holding a single school-sponsored prom, but that, along with efforts to collaborate with white prom planners, has failed. According to Timothy Wiggs, the outgoing student council president and one of 21 black students graduating this year, “We just never get anywhere with it.” Principal Luke Smith says the school has no plans to sponsor a prom, noting that when it did so in 1995, attendance was poor. source

But people have to start being realistic and start seriously teaching and emphasizing primarily to young people about the necessity of protection. You might remember Jamie Foxx's run in with a stalker last month. Some folks are claiming that there's more to it. It's being alleged that Jamie himself arranged for the stalker, Stephen Taliver, to meet him at his room for sex and that Jamie and his PR crew have been paying folks off for years to keep his gay tendencies a secret.

The snitch says:

First, let me start off by saying that this is obviously a fake username and no I don't have an account on here. I've been a lurker on LSA for quite some time and it was directly related to my job. My job in fact had me lurking on various message boards to find things out about my firm's clients. What do I do? More like what did I do? I was a publicist in one of the top 5 firms in Hollywood (no not Roger & Cowan). The latter part should make it obvious that I am neither A. nor W., which means I was not nor have I ever been Jamie's publicist but I know things.

From here on out anyone I can't outright name will be called by the letter of their first or last name and bolded.

Some of this "tea" (as you call it) will be old because it goes back to early 2004 but it is quite relavent to now.

Back in early 2004 Jamie Foxx was in a club in which a man came up to him and supposedly said what's up to Jamie and then proceeded to "grab his breast" <-Jamie's exact wording. This is how the story was spun by the PR firm. However, lets disect this a bit. What gay man do you know would actually go up to a straight man and grabs his pecs regardless if he knows him or not? Gay men are already afaird to openly hit on guys who are not in a gay club anyway so why did this guy feel so comfortable enough to do this? That's because a few weeks earlier him and Jamie had sex. What he actually said to him was, "Hey baby. What's up?" Jamie was furious and hit the guy. His PR firm spun the story away and apparently dude was paid off. Another encounter happens again. His PR firm hushes it. Jamie is on thin fucking ice with his team and he knows. Another incident happens. How do they decide to spin this one away? Well, what all PR firms have done! They make up an elaborate story. Do you all remember when some sex photos of Jamie Foxx and some woman came out? They claimed that a man named Mark Pithian from Las Vegas went through Jamie's trash and found the pictures. Mark Pithian doesn't fucking exist. Pithian apparently was a victim of a beating by some of Jamie's supposed friends (which the PR firm had him deny, the point of the story was to make him seem straight not a thug). Mark Pithian then filed a police report that you can read on a certain site. Said site was contacted by the PR firm to hide the victim's name, which they did.

Now ask yourself why? The firm leaked the damn story and even mentioned the man's name several times. That's because dude doesn't exist! I want all of you LSA detectives to find me Mark Pithian in Las Vegas. He was made up. If you're shaking your head and calling me a liar then continue on with me here... Fast forward to now with this creepy old dude who Jamie thought was Bey's producer. C'mon! You can't tell me that you don't see through this shit. I was a bit surprised by the lazy PR work but I'm sure they will redeem this one. When Jamie sets up his meetings with men he makes sure that his bodyguard is not present, which would clearly explain why he had to tackle the man off himself.

As for the naked bastketball games I know it's true but the info I have isn't first or second hand but from what I was told the game starts off naked and whoever doesn't make a basket has to do a sexual favor. Don't hold me onto to that. What I do know is that the PR firm made him sell his house because a few neighbors saw more then what they were supposed to see. Anyway, that's it for now. source

A man was shot in the booty after a performance from upcoming rapper Drake last Saturday. This is so surprising that this happened at a Drake concert since he's so squeaky clean. But this is Chicago we're talking about.

A man was injured following a shooting after a Drake concert at House of Blues Chicago early Saturday (May 16) morning.Reports indicated that a 21-year-old male was shot in the buttocks at approximately 4:00 AM, during which time over 1,000 fans were making their way out of the venue.Witnesses at the show said Drake got on stage at around 3:00 AM and performed a 45-minute set, when multiple fights broke out in the club. At that point, the concert-goers were ordered to leave the venue. Following this, an altercation outside of the venue lead to a shooting. The victim was treated for the wound at Northwestern Hospital, while the gunman remains unknown. Drake canceled an after-party appearance as a result of the violence. Detectives are currently investigating, and no one was in custody as of Saturday evening. source

Yung Joc says that that he plans to file a lawsuit against Bad Boy Records and Block Entertainment for a host of contractual discrepancies, including failure to pay royalties and advances for his first two albums and charging "outrageous clearance fees" for his collaborations with other artists. "I haven't been paid any royalties since I've been out, after over a million albums sold," says Yung Joc. "For my first album, they gave me a $25,000 advance when I was supposed to get more...Then I had a million dollar budget for my second album, never even got an advance off of it. For the third one they hit me with another $25,000, like I'm some chump in this shit. And I just got tired of it."

While Yung Joc says his main grievance is with Block Entertainment, the company that brought him to Bad Boy Records, he also expressed anger over his label's lack of support. So as I further examine the track, I hear dude cross the line. He begins to call my wife out of her name! Now as y’all know, I don’t take that type of nonsense lightly. So on some grown man shit I’m instantly like, I got to get at this Lame. I know it’s only entertainment and I’m all for freedom of speech. But I’m from the school of thought where if you are tough enough to talk shit, you got to be tough enough to deal with the consequences that come with tough guy shit talking! Then, without listening to either one of the voices on my shoulders, I analyzed the situation from a logical perspective. Am I going to battle Eminem and try to out rap him? No, that would be stupid. The dude is nice on the mic. Even though nowadays he lacks substance, rapping about when he used to be hot. Like when Al Bundy gloats about his High school football prime.

Then I asked myself should I go find this Bitch and just whoop his little ass? But that might have just been the Creatine and protein shakes talking! LOL. Even though most people don’t know that I’m nice in the ring and have been training in boxing and Martial Arts for years that would just be childish and silly of me to bully this dude. He clearly has been picked on all his life and I would hate to add to his deep-rooted pain. So just when the good guy in me is about to emerge and shine through, something hits me… Something bigger than rap beefs, something bigger than jealousy infused insults, something bigger than lackluster attention seeking punchlines, something bigger than artistic expression. I realized, that this so-called man has just disrespected and slanderized one of the world’s most significantly influential artists, one of the most notable BLACK females of our time, the incredibly cherished, globally loved and world-embraced woman of color, Mariah Carey!
